It’s not an overstatement to say that Huxley changed the world. Another way of looking at it is that he saw the change that the world was about to endure. After writing Brave New World, a book which chronicles a strange (and eerily familiar dystopia), he went on to write The Doors of Perception… His books didn’t just hint at a future, they affected it. A lot of the questions he grappled with, we still grapple with today. How should we live? How can we make it so the technology we create doesn’t destroy our civilization? Is there anything that can help us sail through the world with more ease?
